Make-A-Mark!

On the west coast, another event focusing on girls 8-12 a.k.a. tweens, will be in California on Saturday, Oct. 10th hosted by Make-A-Mark. Make-A-Mark’s campaign strives to educate girls about positive body image, self-esteem and inner strength, while promoting positive relationships between mothers and daughters!

Activities will include a workshop on health & nutrition and leading an active lifestyle, as well as arts and crafts with a focus on floral arranging and sewing. A discussion about maintaining a positive relationship between mothers and daughters will take place, too. One of our favorite mags will be co-sponsoring the event…www.six78th.com. A weekend all about you!

Attention girls from 8-12, tune into www.allykatzz.com on Saturday, October 10th and check out history being made. Ally Katzz will be hosting the first ever Tween Summit in Washington DC whereupon 250 girls will participate in workshops and discussions.

A Seventeen magazine editor will be there running a workshop on health and body image. Another workshop will cover how tweens think their age group is portrayed in the media. At the end of the summit, a film will be made documenting the day and focusing on how girls that attended the summit plan to get involved in their communities. The documentary will then be sent to President Obama!
